Two & a half of underemployment and the tremendous success of the t-linespeakers.org site have brought me to asking for donations to support the site.
As long as traffic was low it cost almost nothing to keep the site going. Now with over 150 individual visitors on a slow day & 400 or more on a busy day, the traffic charges (6-12 GB per month) are becoming impossible for me to maintain. ISP costs run about $200 per month (~$135 USD) and i am looking to raise most of that expense for a year or about $1,600 USD. I have also had some server space donated to put pictures on -- this means a bit more work putting pages together -- this turns out to offset the growth in traffic. The estimated impact on my direct traffic costs is the orange stuff coming down from the top of the thermometer. Now into year two donations have really been a help & covered about 1/2 my costs to maintain the presence of the site. Thanx to all who have helped.
Donors' names & websites will be listed & linked to (or not if the donor wishes to remain anonymous). No donation is too small, and once on the list i will not remove the entry -- newest donations at the top. If a vendor wishes to have a logo beside their donation i will do so if they donate $100 USD or more.
Hardware for the server has been donated (HD3D gets a logo for the B&W "Smurf" G3) and i (planet_10 enterprises limited) will continue to donate software & upgrades.
As a bit of nostalgia & to show the progress that has been made on this site, i have posted an archive of the entire site from 11-April-1999.
